Handling of SamplesGrain or seed samples that are used as feed and food in the real world are commonly stored for up to 12 months, or even longer before use. The data in the database represent grain or seed samples that have been analyzed within 12 months of harvest. While raw grain or seed may have been stored at ambient temperature for several months, any material that was ground was always stored frozen. Forage samples were either frozen immediately after harvest or oven-dried and then stored frozen until they were analyzed, typically within 12 months of harvest. Back to Sources of Data Home Page |
